After 60 years, your amount will be zero. If someone owe you Rs.65, you must mention rate of interest. If you given on friendly ground then Rs.65 only.

Hard to tell.

Where was this money.

What was the interest paid and how was it paid.

Just for fun:

Say Rs. 65 was converted to $ in that year. it would have fetched you $26.00 if you just had it in Cookie jar in India. At to-day's rate if you took it to bank.

Neglecting the commission Rs. 1235.

Interest for 60 years at 5%
.o5x65x60 = Rs.195

If you had purchased Gold, and left it in Cookie jar.

Taken to market to-day it could be sold for Rs.1105.

But Few years ago when gold was $792/oz, you could have had Rs.1354.

if you had invested this amt. in FDR /NSC/NSS ETCa/c then this amt. may be reached at Rs 13,31,200/-
1950 65 x 2 = 130
1954 130x 2= 260
1958 260x2= 520
1962 520x2= 1040
1966 1040x2=2080
1972 2080x2=4160
1976 4160x2=8320
1980 8320x2=16640
1984 16640x2=33280
1988 33280x2=66560
1992 66560x2=133120
1996 133120x2=266240
2000 266240x2=532480
2004 532480x2=1064960
2006 1064960x1.25=1331200
