My sister is 57 and in very bad health. She's now on social security disability. She left her home to move south where it is warmer, but her much older husband can't stand the heat so they moved to PA. But, she has now lost her house due to financial troubles and can't afford to rent an apartment. She has also lost her car, which needed $900.00 worth of work and so she junked it. She is flat broke and has nothing to speak of. Plus she owes a ton of money in back medical bills. Now, I realize that much of this is due to the choices she has made in her life, but I feel I must try to help out somehow. I have no financial problems, but also don’t have enough money to take care of her myself. My question: How can I raise some money to get her a car and an apartment and medical assistance not covered by Medicaid? Is there any other way you think I can help her out.
