conservatively. very low or no risk investments. it is currently sitting in a CD account getting 6 percent interest. can i better this percentage ? thanks

Transfer the money to a money market fund. The return and risk won't change much, but there is no penalty for early withdraw.

A CD with 6% interest is great! I'd suggest adding more to it though.

Don't put it in stocks, high risks there. That's what other people will say I'm sure.


Edit @ The guy above me: Yes, it actually is a good idea. A lot of people do it, it helps.

You can go to an investment counselor and put it in a low risk investments. They now offer insurance for about 1.7% that guarantees that you will never go below what you invested..... and most investors will probably make 10% or more depending on he risk you're willing to take.
