Anyone can deposit money (or a check) into your bank account, but not withdraw. Just have her mark : For Deposit Only, and your acc't. number on the back, no need to endorse.

You should check with your financial institution as each one has their own rules. Some will accept a check that in endorsed "For Deposit Only", others will only accept a check that has been signed.
If they will accept a check without signature, then your mother should have no problem depositing it, most banks don't care who is handing over the check, as long as the info on the check and deposit slip match. I say most though because a friend once asked me to make her deposit for her (a cash deposit) and her bank would not let me since I was not the account holder. I still don't know why...it makes absolutely no sense... the way I see it anyone can put money in my account, just not take it out.

Probably. For a deposit with no cash being returned, they usually take a check and deposit slip if the names match, without checking ID.

As long as she doesn't ask for cash back, there shouldn't be any problem.
Have you ever considered direct deposit? Your paycheck is always in the bank on payday and you don't have to rush to the bank or wait in line. Really works great when you're out of town.

Yes she can only if she is on your bank account . She can if she writes deposit only on the back of the check. But she cannot sign her name to the check. My husband does mine that way no problem.Best to you!

I think she can write on the back "for deposit only" with your account number and they will accept it.

Have her prepare a limited power of attorney and send it to you. It could be for cashing her checks or any other issues she might need to have taken care of while she is away. Or send the check to her. She will have to find somewhere to cash it, (probably difficult) then send the funds to you via a bank draft.
