I can't seem to save money. When I have a decent amount save I end up spending it and not on senseless things usually on groceries or to help my mom out with bills since I live with her or on school stuff. It's not like I waste my money but I can't seem to save any. When I do, it's gone. I need to save money and I need some advice as to how I could go about it without spending any of it!

Hello,
I am going away for a couple of months. But my debit card is due to run out soon.

I was organising UK post office redirection. Will my bank card be allowed to go through redirection?

Or do the banks not allow this?

Dont want to change my address as just temporary. But will need my card as it will run out half way through my trip.

I recently submitted an application.....and it supposed to be a private lender. They said I was approved for my loan of $5000, but I would have to send $187 to Nigeria. Sounds like a scam....but I was wondering has anyone heard of or applied with these co-called lenders.

Ok I am the system admin for a small company. This chick I work with wants a car but her credit score is in the 400s. So her dad is going to co-sign. They are financing the car through a lender who works with the dealer. Her dad has to give the dealer a check stub that shows his year-to-date income.

The issue is that she said her dad makes more money than he really makes. So she wants to forge a check stub. She asked me to log into the payroll files and print a stub so she can see what it looks like, and make a copy of it but change the info so it shows what she wants her dad's income to be. The loan wont go through unless his income is higher. Her income is decent, but her credit is just horrible, but she can afford the payments.

Anyway I REFUSED to print that stub!!!! First of all I dont have direct access to the payroll files. I would have to snoop in the accountant's files by logging on as him and thats not gonna happen.

Besides, isn't this loan fraud?

im about 2 grand away from paying off my truck. i called today and the bank said i would have a 100 dollar penalty for paying it off early. well, i was thinkin about paying 1900 bucks and just leaving the rest til my final payments due in about 3 years. my question is, would i be better off paying the whole thing off and just accepting the penalty, paying most of my loan like mentioned above and waiting, or paying maybe half of it and invest the other half in an ira, or if you have an idea, let me know lol. is there any way i can get around the penalty? THANK YOU
adam

We got our income tax check back and I sat down to start sorting through the bills today and organized everything. Our mail came this afternoon and one of the collection agencies is offering a settlement amount for about 100.00 less than the original bill. Should I accept this, or just pay the original amount. I am just scarred it isn't real and that they will hit me up for the other 100 bucks in the future. How can I make sure that this is true? If so, should I wait for the other labs to send settlement amounts?? We live in Texas and I'm also not sure how medical bills will effect our credit and already being almost a year late can't be good, but if I pay settlement amounts I don't know if that will make it worse.

I think I know the answer, but my husband said it was a dumb idea so I wanted to see if you can give me articles or links so I can show him it is. I know anybody can make a deposit to any account but only account holders can make withdrawals. Did I really make a dumb decision?

I keep getting letters to my address for 2 people that have never lived at this address. There are things like Credit Cards applications, Charity raffle tickets etc. No "real" letters just a selection of junk mail on a daily basis Every time one of these letters arrive I write back to the company explaining Y requesting that these names are removed from their database.
I am worried that these people get credit cards & run up debts & get my address blacklisted.
What can I do to stop these letters arriving?

The person is my husbands ex wife and we dont know where she has moved to. She had to move due to a court order and has obviously done a runner from her debts. In the last week we have received two of them amounting to £18,000. We have contacted the companies, but is there anything we can do to put a stop this.

I've read a recent report compiled by the Information Commissioner's Office where 'Barclays' (along with HBOS, Alliance & Leicester, RBS, Clydesdale Bank, Natwest, United National Bank, Barclays Bank, Co-operative Bank and HFC Bank) is accused of unacceptable data protection breach.

Apparently, 'Barclays' (with the others) was found to have discarded personal information in waste bins /receptacles outside its premises!
The ICO has now required these organisations to sign a formal undertaking to comply with the Principles of the Data Protection Act. Failure to meet the conditions of the undertaking is likely to lead to further enforcement action by the ICO and could result in prosecution by the Office.
David Smith, Deputy Commissioner, said: “It is unacceptable for banks and other organisations to carelessly discard their customers’ information. It is vital that banks and other organisations take security seriously". So what do you think!? Isn't it time we all switch to "Halifax"!?

My father set up a custodial brokerage account for me several years ago. I'm 21 now, and he has no intent to transfer ownership of the account to me. He has spent some of the money on his house renovations while purchasing a new BMW 545i, expenses which do not benefit me. I called the brokerage, and they confirmed the existence of the account and set me up with an account transfer form that requires my father's signature. Is there any legal way I can have the account transferred to me without my father's participation?
