I have had £1500 unexpectedly deposited into my Barclays personal account.

How do I find out who has deposited this money and why?

If it has been accidentally deposited, (from the brief details on the statement it looks like a big company, that I have no recollection of dealing with, has deposited it there), is it legally mine?

How does this work??

Do they just take out money at certain times ( like if you have a big chunk in there)?

or do they absolutely close down your bank account , where if you deposit ANYTHING it goes to them?

Is it just the amount you actually have? And the balance amount is what you "had" since your last transactions hasn't went through yet? Like for example: I have $2 in my account but my available account is $1, I have only that one dollar to spend? This was just an example!;)

I got sent a letter from a collection agency saying that I owe so much money for student loans.
What will happen if somebody shows up at the door with papers to serve me?

Will I have to respond or will they not be able to do anything other than find a default in court and try to attach my bank account or take something?( not much in there, and dont have anything)

There is this overstayer who used to live at my address and managed to open a bank account with fake documents bearing a fake name.Is it my concern to report to the bank and what will be done.Will they just close the account or involve the police.

i have $3,000 on my savings, i have no debt, no car loan, no everything to pay. my parents pay for my college, iam only 17 years old(i graduated early in HS), and i have a job right now, i live with my parents. the only thing i pay for is for personal things. iam i poor? broke or what?
