do i have to go into the bank themselves to open up a savings account, or can i do it with telephone banking

do it online youll get a significantly better rate but personally i wouldnt touch them with a barge pole.youll get better rates elsewhere anyway and probably better customer service

Think you'll have to go in, you need passports and documentation these days.
