I can't seem to save money. When I have a decent amount save I end up spending it and not on senseless things usually on groceries or to help my mom out with bills since I live with her or on school stuff. It's not like I waste my money but I can't seem to save any. When I do, it's gone. I need to save money and I need some advice as to how I could go about it without spending any of it!

I'm a traveller living overseas for a few months and on a very tight budget. My savings usually disappears on to those items as well. Here's a few ways I've manage to stay within budget.
1. Create a weekly budget. Include all your bills for that week. For example if you are billed on a monthly basis break it down into weekly so you know how much to put aside that week.
2. Make sure to include an amount to take out for savings in your budget.
3. Keep track of ALL your purchases, no matter how small. Reviewing this will help you see if there are more places you can scrimp.
4. Limit yourself on the amount you spend on groceries. Store brands often work just as well as name brands and you can walk away saving a fair amount. Also look for discount supermarkets. They may not be great for product and such but the non-perishables are much cheaper.
5. Pack a lunch for work. Buying lunch during the week can add up to $25-$45 a week. That's at least $100/month.
6. If you drink, cut back. Bar tabs get mighty expensive. Limit yourself to 2 or 3 drinks as opposed to 4 or 5.

I hope these give you some good ideas.

You can also look for promotional jobs that will help you earn some extra cash. A lot of talent companies such as Encore Nationwide and Attack Marketing hire people to work events and you can make between $80-$150 for a few hours work. Sign up and when you make any extra income put it directly into your savings.

always set aside an amount for yourself. It is not bad to help out in the house, but try to remember that you are also trying to consider your future. If you have no savings, and the people at home do not have spare money to lend you, where will you turn to if you need money? (not the loansharks PLEASSSSE)

If you are living on a fixed amount, like an allowance or a fixed monthly salary, try to divide the entire amount of salary or allowance by the number of days plus 3 (days) for that month and do not spend more than the amount it tells you to spend. example, if you are earning three thousand per months, divide that by 33 (3 days extra). this will yeild $90.90. then do not spend beyond $90.90 or else, you will be overspending. take note that at the end of the day, any loose amount left from your $90.90 allowance should be kept at a safe place. if you notice, you will have $272.70 +++ per month if the month has 30 days only or $181.80 if 31 days. Take note, February has only 28 days, so you will be saving $454.50. And please do not touch this amount. save it for the rainy days...

prepare an expense statement on how you spend money. at the end of each month, try and find out those expenses that you could have made without spending. prepare a household budget for essential expenses, add some contingency and plan for investing the remaining money. You could take a housing loan so that you are forced to deposit the monthly instalments , join a systematic investment plan of a good mutual fund or subscribe to a recurring deposit account with a bank or a post office.. the key is to keep yourself in a position where you are forced to part some money.

Things are not fair on the Internet.

Companies are making tons of money off us left and right. Every time we buy something, watch an ad, even search the Internet, money is getting dealt all around us. And we don¹t see a cent.

There is one company out there that wants to change all that. It¹s called AGLOCO (short for ³A Global Community²) and their slogan is ³Get Your Share of the Internet². If we join, they will collect some of the money that usually passes between companies and give that money back to US. After all, we¹re the ones that generated it.

When Google launched, a great search for free was a good deal. Now that Google is making over a billion dollars a month off our searches, obviously FREE IS TOO EXPENSIVE.

If Google can afford to pay AOL 10 cents per search (which they do), they can afford to pay us the same. AGLOCO want to help us make that happen.

So check out AGLOCO and sign-up. If we build the community and refer other members, AGLOCO recognizes that we¹re the ones making them valuable and we make more money. Sign up by clicking this link: http://www.agloco.com/r/BBCK7064
It has my referral ID in it and I get instant credit. Thanks!
