I'm selling my home soon for 25,000 more than I paid for it. Where does the equity go that is built up in my mortgage through the finance company? Is it paid out to me or go to the payoff price of the house? Thanks for your help!

Since banks are closed today, does anyone know?

I messed up bad. I have a free checking account that I only use for paypal and ebay, and never has more than $50 in it. In early December I paid my ebay charges with this account and haven't bothered with it until yesterday. Well, my account had $7.20 in it and my ebay fee was $8.26. Sunday I tried loggin into ebay only to find my account supsened, so I did some checking, blah blah blah... So in December I overdarfted twice, once for $16 and once for $28, then $6 a day since then. So I'm up to owing my bank over $400. I'm not loaded and can't pay this off all in one shot, and from what I'm calculating, I'm going to be in debt to this bank forever at $6 a day, and never be able to get ahead, or take the chargeoff and ruin my credit. This feels like extortion. The department I need to talk to is closed today (even though they're still getting another $6 today), so I can't do anything about it until tomorrow.

You can't buy it when you need it, and no one who has recived a claim from me has ever complained about the premiums. Why are you waiting?

Let's say I purchase something from Target, but it doesn't work correctly so I decide to return it. I have my receipt, but can I return it to a DIFFERENT target store or does it have to be the SAME one where I bought it?

This causes my kids extreme stress and me to rely on my ex for a lot of support. I want there to be a way for me to be able to save money. My only ideas were clipping coupons. I don't want an esasy I just want a couple of tips on how to start saving more.

Paid weekly>>>Poor surely !!!!

Coming from France where people are paid monthly I am bothered since I am paid weekly like most people in the UK.
I quickly found out that with an equivalent income you are in fact poorer when paid every week !! WHY ?
First of all you have less money at your disposal when you need to have an expensive buy ei. a car, a piece of furniture or just to renew your cooker LOL
You then have to contract a loan of some sort and then of course pay incredible interest (at levels totally ILLEGAL in other countries !!)
It’s a vicious circle and now I understand why UK is the country with the highest individual debt !!
I also understand why so many English find life in France cheaper….In fact it isn’t but you can afford more things being paid monthly.
Some will say it’s impossible to live correctly with only one payment monthly…it’s all a question of habit.
What do YOU think ?

I have been with a credit union for a long time, but it is no longer convenient, I am looking for a good bank with good customer service, free checking and savings, convenient locations and ATMs, I believe I have narrow it down to either Washington Mutual or Bank of America, any suggestions? I don't care about the issue with Bank of America issuing credit to undocumented customers.

Seems like everyone has a gimmick to create brand loyalty. Does this really help you save money, or is it just a gimmick to get you to spend more? Let's hear some examples.
