I have a bit of a life and death situation, or rather a very good friend has & need 2 grand to get out of it, i'm scared stiff for them & want to help, extremely grateful for any serious suggestions on how to raise cash, like yesterday!!! Please help xxx

Sell anything you can get your hands on. Think like a drug addict, start with the expensive stuff and hit all the pawn shops. eBay is great if you have time. Once all your stuff is gone, you'll have to work the corner selling you ***. If you look good, you'll make big bucks! :)
Seriously, just ask all your friends and family to give you a loan. If it's for a noble cause, they will be very willing to assist.
A credit card loan is another alternative. But the interest is brutal.

I would take a step back and ask yourself why this friend needs the money. Then ask yourself if you want to get involved in this situation. Will the friend pay you back? What if she can't? Can you afford to lose 2 grand?
