I'm in the process of looking for a new home, but have about 12 open credit cards. 11 of the 12 credit cards have a ZERO balance, but i dont know whether it's better to cancel them, or leave them open. I want to know what would benefit me the most when purchasing a home( as far as credit ).

We only have a small amount of debt - we can pay it off within the year... But we also need to start saving (RRSPs, etc). Would we be better off the pay off the debts asap, and THEN start saving? Or should we allocate some money to both, and pay off the debt slower?

It was announced today that Barclays Bank has made a profit over the last year of £7 billion!

Given that this bank has a record of offering very low rates of interest on its current accounts and hits its customers hard with extremely punitive charges I would like to ask any customers of this bank why they continue to use it?

Is it because they feel safer storing their money in a well established bank as opposed to one of the newer internet banks, or is it just because they are too lazy to move their money elsewhere?

I have a business where I generally sew clothes. But its getting too hectic for me and it costs too much to get someone else to sew them. I am thinking of outsourcing this labor in third world countries, where the people will be glad to do the work for pay.

I am not planning on taking advantage of anyone, I just need these gowns sewn. After all, everyone'll be happy at the end.

Any ideas where I can find people in other countries? (Not Japan, UK or US or other developed countries... I am looking to outsource labor to periphery countries).

Thanks!

About a 3 months ago my husband and I decided that we need to get a joint account and pay our bills and other expenses jointly (we're newly married). He knows he has trouble spending, and so we decided it would be best if I handle the finances. The problem is that he is still over-spening the limits, so much that the bills get paid, but their is no money left over for groceries. This month he's spent over 1600 on a paintball gun and a xbox 360. He says to relax and that we can cover the groceries with the overdraft, but i absolutely hate being in debt when it's because of frivolous spending....btw we both work full time jobs. He's a spender, i'm a saver....what can we do to make this work?

I seems like a good loan to take as long as it is paid back in the alloted time and doesn't go into default. Any other considerations?

About $30K on credit cards @ 4% for life, ($600 mo). Should I increase my 401K, at 3% now with no matching, invest in a roth ira or pay down card? I am 48 years old. Household income around $110K. Would like to reduce tax on income.

I'm a Nationwide customer and not that much makes my blood boil but THIS does! I haven't gone into the red for over 15 months yet Barclays are celebrating 7 billion of profits today. I can't switch my account as I don't have a mortgage or a loan and I don't earn enough. But I'd like to vote this director out of existence.
