write a check for millions of dollars to a person for them to deposit in their account,or does the person writing or recieving the check have to do something different to make the transaction smooth because of the amount???

Realistically, to transfer a large sum you'd probably just want to do a wire transfer from your bank account to the recipient's bank account. This will probably cost less than $50, which is insignificant in relation to the amount tranferred. Funds should be credited within a day.

Then next best way would be to have a cashier's check issued for the amount. This will take a little longer to clear.

I wouldn't recommend a transfer by cash or personal check.

You can write a check for any amount. How do you thing mega million dollar lottery's pay whoever has the winning ticket?

However, if you write me a check for millions of dollars and I take it to my bank, the bank isn't going to hand me millions of dollars until that check clears and they verify that you actually had millions of dollars in your checking account to cover the check you wrote.
