I'm a Nationwide customer and not that much makes my blood boil but THIS does! I haven't gone into the red for over 15 months yet Barclays are celebrating 7 billion of profits today. I can't switch my account as I don't have a mortgage or a loan and I don't earn enough. But I'd like to vote this director out of existence.

Banks used to charge for accounts years ago and i can see it coming back one day. Although i think banks including Nationwide charge too much for all of their services. Maybe there is a good argument for a profits tax on them to make them ease up on customers.

Good luck with your quest to wake this greedy little man up.

Forgive me, but I'm a bit confused! You mention the director of Nationwide asking for charges and you not being overdrawn for 15 months but then talk about Barclays and the money they have made and the fact that you can't switch accounts...who do you want to go to, Barclays?

What company are you talking about? Nationwide Insurance?

What type of product are you talking about? Auto insurance, homeowners insurance, an investment or what?

What kind of charges are you talking about?

What is Barclays?

If you get a meaningful answer it will have to be from a mindreader.

If the banks are less profitable because of tax then they will get back their profits by increasing charges.
