Seems like everyone has a gimmick to create brand loyalty. Does this really help you save money, or is it just a gimmick to get you to spend more? Let's hear some examples.

It is more of a case that one brand started doing it and all the others jumped on the bandwagon just in case there was something in it.

I will of course use a coupon for a product I already buy, and I might decide to try something else if the offer is good enough. But for the most part I stick with what I know works.

The gimmicks can be great when they stack up. Sometimes you can go into a store armed with coupons and cards in the middle of a sale and come out with tons of stuff for as little as 10% of the original price.

I go for all of the rebates and reward points, I purchased my computer for 900.00 by the time I turned in all of my rebates, it only cost me 250.00 so now I go for all of the special offers.
