How can I raise two thousand pounds fast??????

I have a bit of a life and death situation, or rather a very good friend has & need 2 grand to get out of it, i'm scared stiff for them & want to help, extremely grateful for any serious suggestions on how to raise cash, like yesterday!!! Please help xxx
