My Dr told me that they can not write off uncollected medical accounts on their taxes. This does not seem that it would be true since they are professionals providing a service and the debt is noncollectable.

I started working at a food place, my first job ever. I have never had cashier expirience. They put me up front almost immediately and it was so intimidating. The menu machine is so confusing when you look at it..it looks like too many buttons and the customers say their orders way too fast. I had such a bad time. I couldnt remember what they ordered for drinks, I would forget how much change they gave me..it was messy. I was nervous and some of the customers made it harder. I felt like I was slowing things down. I feel like I will never get the hang of this stupid job...any suggestions from expirienced workers?

A friend of mine who's in the gutter business went to a house where I'm the general contractor and installed some gutters, while he was there he drove over some fresh landscaping. The client brought it to my attention. The landscaper charged $200 to come back and fix it. When i paid my gutter guy, I asked him to be more careful and that I had been backcharge but was not charging him....I knew it was a snall job for him.....no big deal. I appreciated him coming back to do it.

Suprizingly he showed his *** and said that I shouldn't have even brought that up.

Here I thought I was doing him a favor by not back charging him.

If a loan/line of credit says no collateral required does that mean that no personal guarantee is needed either? If not what is the difference? Wouldn't a personal guarantee be like collateral?

I have to file a small claims in court and wanted to know if you can legally collect for finance charges. I work for a small company and send out monthly statements religiously at the first of every month. Well on these statements, it clearly states that all past due balances over 30 days will be assessed a 1.5% interest charge. Well like I said, I am filing in SMC today on a deadbeat payer and wanted to know if I am legally able to collect these fees? I have heard in the past that you couldnt.

P.S. I will be filing in Michigan!

I don't get these aspects of conspicuous consumption:a) Why do people think that displaying 'high end' consumer goods is some sort of bragging rights? I mean, ok, if someone DESIGNED a car or an electronic gadget I'd be impressed, but all it takes to buy one is..well, money. b) Do people really get suckered into getting numerous credit cards because of ads that suggest getting them is the road to freedom? How could anyone be that dumb?? The CC companies want you to get into debt so they can get rich. A 10-year-old ought to understand that. c) Here's a chicken and egg question: do people pursue 'high end' careers because housing and autos cost so much so you need a tidy salary to get by, or would most people still pursue the same 'cache' type jobs just for the so-called prestige?

My brother talked me into starting a business with my Credit (at the time I had a 800+score). Now, 10 months later I'm $89k+ in debt & he's too busy with moving his women in or out or trying to win custody of his kids or something all the time & now he wants to do something else. My Mother is a wonderful person who is old, worries excessively & only has 5% of her heart working. My brother lost custody of his kids to his X who is schizophrenic & for the past 12 years had a NO-CONTACT ORDER with the kids, all due to incompetent attorney failing to appear twice. Of course, our Mother doesn’t know he lost the kids, so in turn; not only am I lying to her, but I’m also picking up his legal fees. I just found out that he’s been doing business under the table & using company money. Compounded with my soon to be X who ran my home equity line up $65K during 1 of his manic episodes, I’m looking for work, but at my age, retired army officer or not..it’s slim pickens. I don't want to sell the farm

I booked a room last minute on Tuesday night online at Hilton.com for Wednesday 6/13 into Thursday 6/14. Well, it said there was an availability when I checked, but when I looked at the confirmation page it said Friday and Saturday 13 and 14th in July. When I called the front desk they said that when there's no availability, it automatically pushes the reservation to the next month. She spoke to the night manager, and they agreed to give me a refund, before they realized there was a 3rd party that I have to contact. I paid in full for a reduced rate, which stated no refunds or changes to the reservation. Well, they made a change without my consent, and I don't know how to get a refund now. The 3rd party is this place called Net Direct, which is the option I chose to pay in full for the cheaper rate. How can I get a refund? My reservation was cancelled, and I tried contacting Chase: Visa (used Debit Card), and they told me the charge was still pending, which means I can't dispute it...

I’ve already accepted an offer (signed & sealed) from a company that I am very interested in joining, but have since received another offer which exceeds the offer that I accepted (the complete package is worth about 11K more). Is it feasible to go back to the company that I have already accepted the offer from to try and renegotiate? Guess I could be in a worse position, but this is not what I had planned on…

P.S. I already posted this question, but I am adding additional details and fixing some spelling, which was rather embarrassing...:)
