UK postal service Royal Mail is offering delivery of a 20g item from the UK to Indonesia from £0.78p (5 days, insurance up to £34) to £47.70 (4 days, tracked, insurance up to £150.)

Unless you are sending a previously undiscovered Picasso sketch (I can't think of anything else valuable enought for £340 of insurance that weighs less than 20g) this is a scam.

Courier charge looks pretty standard. So is admin. But Insurance charge seems very high. What value did you declare for the item? Looks like you said it was a high value item and they charged accordingly. Next time, buy an air ticket and take it yourself.

Depends what's in the package ... Dope or Diamonds ??

Actually, I would say it's part of a 419 (Advanced Fee) SCAM .. simply designed to con you out of your money.

No doubt they have spun you some tale about riches you will receive in exchange for sending this package - forget it, you will never get anything back from them except excuses (and attempts to part you from even more money ...)

No, that's area of a rip-off ... ... impressive how in many situations human beings fall for this form of rubbish ... conventional is the "loose trip" ... basically you may pay administration costs, purchase your individual Air Tickets, pay pass costs, hotel reserving costs (for room basically) ... and hear the intense stress Time share revenues talks for 8 hours an afternoon ....

For couriers I guess it is! And insurance would depend on what's in the package. Can it not just be sent by regular post?
