I know Oprah and viewers have invested in Katrina victims. I don't know if BET's Bob Johnson has domestic investments. But Oprah is investing in a school in South Africa for girls and a school for girls in Israel. But with all the problems in America, why do you think they don't do more for African Americans? Bill Gates does a lot for inner city schools with donations of computers but then he can buy them 30x over. Do they get more tax breaks by investing in foreign countries?

I would like to start a petition showing how many people are going to be affected if/when Wal-Mart ends their lay-a-way program. I know that I'll have to drive 30 miles to shop at K-Mart for THEIR after Thanksgiving sale instead of staying in my home town.

I've heard that i need to apply for more than 1 licence. Is it a legal requirement to purchase these licences? If so, has anyone ever been prosecuted for failing to do so. Quite frankly, I think it's scandalous and would do pretty much anything to avoid adding to my business overheads. I'd like to think that by playing music to my customers, I am infact giving the artistes etc free advertising of their recordings which is increasing their sales revenue. I'm hoping for a loop-hole to avoid payment.

I have been out of work for 2 years now and am in the process of trying to get on disability. My medical bills have gotten awful and we are barley making it... some times we are lucky to just get groceries. I have never asked for help... but it has just gotten to hard... is it legal to ask for money from other people to help with money? This is so emabassing for me.
