Recently I shipped out a item for about $1,000. I shipped the item and the item's tracking number was never updated. So its pretty much lost by USPs. I shipped it to the confirmed address and with certified mail, which requires a signature. The buyer filed a dispute with me and right now its under investigation by paypal. Knowing paypals "state of the art" dispute system I am very worried about losing this dispute. I need someone to let me know what might or will happen or if anyone had dealt with this situation. I mean I shouldn't be liable right? I offered insurance in my eBay auction and the buyer didn't purchase it.

Our Texas home of 22 years was recently sold by my father for him to play it all at a casino and lose everything. He's an abusive gambloholic who now lives in a roach motel in Houston Texas working as a cab driver. After we moved we lived in several different places such as Little Rock Arkansas because we figured it was a great place to live but we were wrong so we moved to Portland Oregon. We all live together now with my mother while my pathetic father still lives in Houston. So my question is how can I raise that kind of money to get my home back? $45,000 dollars. Because right now we're not doing so well living in a rental home in Portland. I for one hate the state of Oregon, the people here are so rude and hatefull. The problem with Little Rock was that the crime rate is very high. I got robbed at gun point doing my laundry so I wouldn't suggest moving there. So please if anyone can help me with any information on how to get the money to get my home back It would help me out alot.

When our ancestors first ate oysters, they must have found loads of pearls but they had no value so they probably flicked them into the sea and ate the oyster. My new business idea is to search for all those discarded pearls near oyster beds but would they dissolve over time?

A friend is starting a new antiques business and we need to think of a name! To put the business in context, bear in mind the following:
- The antique business will sell high-end fine English and Continental furniture targetting the affluent 28 - 45 age group. The business proposition is to sell fine antique furniture for modern day living (i.e. getting away from the stuffy image of antiques)
- To distinguish the business from other antiques businesses, the name should not include the word "Antiques". Instead, we suggest the name is followed in smaller characters by "English & Continental Furniture".
- The business will be based in Kent, but also have a satelite store in London and the West Country. It will also have internet sales.

Think outside the box!!!

There are so many 'Do it yourself' sites out there that allow you to self-publish... but what about submitting your work for review to a publisher in the hopes that they will like it and 'sponsor' you? How do you find out who these publishers are?

And is survival of the fittest or just fend for yourself the right philosophy to have when there is such a big split between the rich and poor in our society?

Would we be better off in a world where everyone was equal and there was no rich or poor, just equal and getting by lets say?

Just want some thoughts or debates about this as these are the things that people seem to expect government to do yet no one really is willing to make the choices or sacrifices that it takes to make these changes happen in my opinion.
