Correction: This would only be attempted on my last month in the residence a few days before the new tenants move in. Electric company said to call in the meter numbers when I want to close my account.

my business was across the street from a guy who always wanted to keep his money. if he did this i believe it. i would be out side and he could do something to the meter to make it defeat its self I'm not sure what he did but he had a huge electrical bill all the time from 24 7 of 40 four foot lights on and each one had 4 tube bulbs so that's allot of lights and he would always be out there the day before the meter reader came and he was out the for half hour to and hour doing some thing to it and finally later that year they put a new meter on and he was in the dead of winter and they came and shut his gas off for two months while he barrowed from peter to pay Paul and finally they came and put another meter on too. but his step father ran a junk yard in Chicago and he was full of stuff he hid from the public. i still believe he did something like a powerful magnet or something it was okay for him to because after the meter bill was paid he was doing the use of even more electricity than before and was smiling at what he thought our secret and i still don't know what he did but as i say he didn't do it well enough and it did screw up the meters and he did it for two years and got away with it before they put the hurt to the deal. but if i came to close he would put something that he had against the meter in his pocket if i aproached? the answer would be no you can't get away with it very long

which month? You never know.
If the discrepancy is not too much, they will just adjust the bill.
