I want to start a magazine for kids and I don't have the money to get started - any ideas?

It's not easy to convince advertisers to commit to a new publication. Many will want to see 6-12 issues before even considering it because most new titles fail in the first year. That said, you will need to come up with dummy editions of how your magazine will look, and you will need to show evidence that people will buy and/or read it.
Failing that, and if it's a unique idea, it might be worth talking to an existing publishing company to see if they are interested in backing you. You will need to get them to sign some sort of confidentiality agreement so they don't poach your ideas, but that's also something worth considering. Here is a wild idea sell ad space on E-bay or for free go to Craig's List.com and state it there for free,
