I would like to start a petition showing how many people are going to be affected if/when Wal-Mart ends their lay-a-way program. I know that I'll have to drive 30 miles to shop at K-Mart for THEIR after Thanksgiving sale instead of staying in my home town.

Walmart is a big reason why the little ma-pop shops (that used to do lay-a-way) are gone..... it is the way they wanted it.....

Stop shopping there.......

Wal-Mart is a huge global company. Standing in the street corner where you are collecting signatures is not going to be very effective. If you can somehow start a Blog on the Internet where your exposure can be great, you may have a chance. If enough email from the general public go to Wal-Mart requesting them to reconsider, they may take your input seriously.

Walmart doesn't listen to petitions! Business decisions are based on "money" issues! They'll realize their mistake when everyone goes to K-Mart and Target for their holiday shopping needs! Must have been the coffee in Bentonville that day!
