I'm a pharmacist now, but I'm getting tired of working with the public. I'm not certain of what career I should choose, but I have an interest in computers and internet, and I love to work alone. Anyone with advice or tips?

However the boss has agreed to give me a positive job reference and he wished me luck in all my future endeavors.

I am fresh out of college as of 6 months ago. I am relocating from the central Illinois area to the suburbs of Chicago. The job oppurtunities are "very good" in the field I am in.

What should I say at my job interview when they start asking me why did I leave my last job? Should I say I got layed off, or should I say that I decided to relocate? I think I have some wiggle room with what I can say at my job interview. What do you guys think?

My husband and I are in a financial crunch, and I'm looking for something extra to bring in a little money. Any ideas of easy jobs, that won't affect my current 8:30-5:30 job. Nothing trashy.

SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!

I just dislocated my shoulder, my arm feels ok enough for me to not have to wear it all the time, but it still hurts if I go more then 3 hours without my brace. Should I wear my shoulder brace to the interview or do you think it will hurt my chances of getting hired?

I have a job interview today at Subway and it will be my first interview ever so I'm kind of nervous. Anyways, I know that they might ask me what my good and bad qualities are. I don't want to give an actual bad quality, but rather something that can be seen as a positive, for example, saying that I'm a perfectionist. Can anyone think of anything else like this? A "bad" quality that can be beneficial at a job? Thanks!

I've been applying and applying to several job openings and have gotten NO Responses - not even a "no thanks" letter or email or phone call.
Is it a good idea to have someone you know call your past jobs - act like a new employer - and find out what they are saying about you?
I know there are services for this - but they want $60 per call.
And right now without a job - I can't afford that.
And if you do that - what do you do about a past employer who doesn't really tell the truth?

I have to give in my two weeks because I found a better paying job but I'm afraid to because they have told someone to make it their last day when they had given their notice. I don't want to miss a paycheck. What should I do?

Ok, I've been working in a daycare center, but only for 4 weeks. My co-workers started to take advantage of me (chore-wise), and have slightly eased up. But the main problem is that there is no communication between me and my boss/teachers. They only tell me what to do if I'm doing something wrong. I don't even know if I'm working part-time or full-time! (Believe me, I'll get that answer tomorrow!) But all in all, it comes down to the communication issues, the $5.50 p/h pay, and co-workers bullying me. I'm wanting to quit the second week in December, and maybe start babysitting after New Year's. Problem is, I don't know how to bring the subject up. This is my first job, by the way. Please help! I'm so miserable!

When someone pays with a check... You have to write on the check. Don't you draw a plus sign sort of thing. But what do you write in the different quadrants? Isn't it expiration date, license number etc (and in which quadrant)?

Me and a coworker got into a heated argument and things were said. Now I'm put on suspension until corporate takes a look into the matter. I'm positive that with the circumstances I'll be let go.

Now, for future resumes what is some good advice that I can use to try to make it look acceptable? I've worked at the place for about six months and I do have to take responsibility for what happened with that event. How do I go about telling my potential employer about the situation without him automatically declining me? Should I spare some of the details, or just not elaborate on it so much?

As well right now I'm in the process of filling out applications with my suspension time. When it asks "Have you ever been terminated from a job" what should I put?

Hello
my boss promised me a salary raised but when it actually came to it this didnt happent and she said: "sorry I would like to help you but I can't". Now I know that the company has no problem and my salary raise is actually something what all other co-workers received. I am also one of the best in the job and received many times feed back from my boss telling me that I am very good in my job. I feel really bed about it and dont know what to do. Have for the moment no other job offer and my boss knows it. Should I quit anyway?

I've got a BA in psychology and have 4 years experience working at a detention center and 2 years working as a teacher's aide in a Special Ed school.

I'm curious as to what type of work those experiences could help me get.

I applied for a job via email. I got a confirmation email telling me they received my resume, they will review it, and if there is a need for me they'll contact me. If they don't contact me to accept their appreciation, and please no phone calls. It's been 3 days and I really want to contact them. I don't know if I should, since it says no phone calls. What should I do?

I Have been at my job for 6 1/2 years. the first 3 years i was part time then i went full time. I had a baby 9months ago so iwent back to part time and they told me they were gonna take a dollar an hour out of my pay! I never got another dollar when i went full time, all the raises i got were legit, yearly evaluations. Is this right? Is there something i can do to prevent this from happening? Finding a new job isn't easy. especially since they give me the hours i want. I'm in a panic. What can i do?

can we fire someone on verbal complaint...like what people are saying about that person ....? you never received a report from their supervisor that something is bad ...!!?
Would you take the decision to fire that employee anyway as any official charge is held against him ?

Wow I really hate my job. I work at Papa Murphys. I honestly feel like crap every single time i go there and its not rewarding. I get my paycheck and sure keeps me going but crap it sucks. People think its fun making pizza but crap it sucks. having to get it done at a certain time hearing customers mouths and even employees mouths. I have worked there for around 1 month and it sucks. I am already thinking about changing to a different job. I always hear crap about how slow I go considering the fact that all I wnat to do is make sure i am doing it right. Sometimes they do it so quickly they miss something that the customer wanted etc. I am now thinking of getting a job at Albertsons. Wouldnt mind that just clean bathrooms, push carts, and bagging groceries. I would rather do that then this. What do you think?

I have a job interview tomorrow for a part-time position as a secretary. I've done tons of interviews and I always feel unprepaired for them. I never feel like I say what I should say, ask questions that need to be asked or answer the questions properly..
Does anyone have any advice on answers to questions that might be asked or any particular questions that should be asked. Or something I should do to 'win' over the interviewer????
I really want a job and this is a job that I would enjoy doing..So I really want this job and I don't want to screw it up with a bad interview...THANKS!!!
