is there a way that my resume will get into the right hands other than faxing?

Most companies now only go via the internet!

I have personally gone this way and know many people who have gotten jobs through the internet.

It is the more efficient way for companies to sort out all the applicants they receive and that way THEY can schedule the interviews v people dropping in, dropping off resumes and having people pop in expecting to interview.

Just beware that posting your resume online makes it open for some scam 'companies' to try to offer you these 'great' jobs. Make your resume NOT open to everyone to view and apply only to those you are interested it.

But, that is the trend and the way it's done now.

I have been in the business world for MANY years now and that is how it works and those are the basic reasons why.

You are going to have to network to get your résumé in the right hands. Unless you have the tics over the 'e's' in résumé. your résumé will go in 'File 13' (The Trashcan)

To get the 'tics' over the 'e's. before each 'e' hold down the 'alt key, and enter '130' from your numeric keypad.
If RÉSUMÉ is all caps, use 'alt' key and 144 from your numeric keypad.

If you know someone on the inside of the companies where you wish to work, email them and ask them if they will submit your résumé for you.

Without the tics over the 'e's, résumé is resume as in you resume your studies after Spring Break.

I'd say flip a coin. Sounds simple, but you are torn between them because they are both really good options. Chances are, if you flip the coin and you feel bad about what it landed on, than the other choice is the right one for you!
