I applied for a job via email. I got a confirmation email telling me they received my resume, they will review it, and if there is a need for me they'll contact me. If they don't contact me to accept their appreciation, and please no phone calls. It's been 3 days and I really want to contact them. I don't know if I should, since it says no phone calls. What should I do?

Follow their rules and do not call.
However, get the name of the Mgr of HR and send a hand written thank you note.

Thank you for considering my resume for the position of ...."blah, blah, blah".

I look forward to hearing from you so that I may answer any questions you may have. I can share with you in more detail why I believe I am a match for your open position.

I am available to visit with you at your convenience.

Thank you for your consideration.

I wouldn't contact them. Apply to other positions and if they contact you then go for it. They are probably reviewing large volumes of resumes and will get back to the people they feel fit the qualifications. Good luck to you

Hi:

I would not contact them because if you tried you would not get in touch with the person who is doing the hiring.
Be patient. The job posting probably received quite a number of applicants.

They send everyone a confirmation, if they say no phone calls then thats what they mean. That means if you match what they are looking for then they will call you, if they dont call, then you didnt match what they are looking for thats all, just keep looking.

Don't contact them, since they specifically stated not to. If they want you, they'll let you know.
