Log on to assessment.com and take their MAPP assessment online. It costs about 30 bucks, but it is an outstanding resource for anyone looking for a career or looking to switch careers. I have recommended to several people, and I've taken it myself. It has helped me, and everyone I know who has used it.

Make a list of your strengths and weaknesses. For example are you outgoing or shy? Do you like interacting with people or prefer to be by yourself? Can you handle great responsibility without freaking out? Do you get angry easy? Are you artistic? Are you good with numbers?

Look at your list and then think about possible careers. Attorney, Accountant, Graphic Design, Engineer, Stock Broker, Financial Adviser, Banker, and the list goes on.

Can you see yourself actually performing the tasks of certain careers?

What kind of income do you expect to earn?

Maybe talk to some people in the profession(s) you're interested in. Interview them. Call them and explain that you're considering that profession, and if they agree to talk to you, be prepared with written questions to ask them.

Study about these professions at the library or on the Internet. Weigh the pros and cons.

Good Luck!!!!

They say. . . . (ha there's that 'they' again) that the first question is " what do you like to do in your spare time?"
If it's watch TV, that's not much help.
But if it's sports, maybe physical education. If it's play music, maybe entertainment or teaching music.

Another idea is ot look for jobs on the net. Read up on different actual jobs. Do they have to work shifts/ Do they dress up for work? Do they sit at a desk and work with computer? Do they work helping people?

Think of where in the world you would live if you could, then look for jobs there.

There's a couple of different websites that you can take free career assessment tests. They're kind of like mini-personality tests that help determine what kind of career you'd be good at.

The link below is for that.

My suggestion personally is to look at the things you like. Do you like flowers? A lot? Maybe you could be someone who arranges flowers. (Ya know, Michael's Arts and Crafts has a person who only does that).

Or do you like numbers? Maybe an accountant. Look at things you love and use that as a tool too.

You really just have to find out what your into for one. A career aptitude test will just generalize your interests into professional categories and the problem with that is you may not like certain jobs even if they fall under some of your preferences.

Do you have something that you like to do.. no sleeping does not qualify. lol Do you have a hobby. Did you get good grades in school? Can you sell ice cubes to alaskians. Can you talk to anyone that you meet. Do you take cars apart and put them back together. Is there something that you do that comes easy. No not eating... lol You may need to go to a temporary and let them put you in some assignments and tests to evaluate your talents. Good luck.

You have to find out what's important to you.

One method is to go camping for about three or four days without any food. Just sit, and about the third day, you'll figure out what is most important to you in Life.

Do that.
