As I write this, the office big mouth - backstabber - shirker - blamer is packing her boxes and cleaning out her file cabinets. I had nothing to do with her ultimate demise -- management finally wised up and realized that she was a criminal waste of space.

The taste of justice is so sweet in my mouth that I can't help but to keep imbibing.

Any suggestions on how I can assuage my guilt at taking so much pleasure at her demise?

First, I had two phone interviews with this company initially. On Tuesday, they flew me 570 miles for a face to face interview. I met with seven different people. I feel the CFO is the decision maker and he really liked me. He made a few comments such as, "would you consider a different position with us in addition to the one you applied for," "you had some really good questions," and "what date are you available?"

He also said he liked my education background (I am a CPA, blah, blah, blah). He said a decision would be made in one to three days. Today is day three and is the Friday before the weekend.

What do you think my chances are for a job offer? I met with others as well, but couldn't read them as closely. I met the two people I would be working with and felt like I really hit it off with them as well.

She micromanages, sets unrealistic deadlines, is an annoying perfectionist and is not interested in feedback or opinions. It's either her way or the highway.

I hate female bosses. Give me a male boss any day.

P.S. Yes I am female.

I am having trouble deciding what I want to go to college for. I just turned 18 and wanted to become a RN(Nurse) but I was recently diagnosed Rheumatoid Arthritis Disease, so becoming a Nurse is out of question, since I cannot lift more then 15lbs and being extremely active can sometimes be painful. But don't get me wrong, I still work and still work hard. So what should I do? I don't want to spend anymore then 2yrs in college and I would still like to make as much as a nurse (around $45,000 a year). So any ideas?? I like helping people and I love animals, but I am very open minded.

I want to go back to college in the Spring and finish my degree in music education. I currently have a full time job which I have been working at for almost a year now. However, the hours are 9-6. I don't feel they would let me change my hours around to suit my schedule. I want to find a part time job(s) which would give me secure income and allow me to have time for my classes. Which kind of options are available? Thanks so much!

I had a job in journalism for 2 years, taught English in Asia for 5 and now want to try my hand at public relations. How can I create a resume that shows I have the experience needed for a media-related job if chronologically, my relevant experience is going to be all the way in the back? I'm not sure how to highlight that I do have experience writing and editing without leaving a large gap in my resume.

So there was a new Target branch opening locally. My credentials were ok even tho i didnt have much retail experience. The interview was complete bs, the questions were annoying and painfully general and i had to give generic answers. Apparently i didnt get in. Was it because I said I could do part-time only. They asked me about full time committment about twice.

My husband is the finishing supervisor for a custom cabinet shop. He's been with them for almost three years with no problems. About three weeks ago, they hired a new shop supervisor. He happens to be the owners daughters (she works there too) boyfriend. He has management experience, but has never worked in woodworking. The problem is that he's telling my husband to do some things differently, which is fine, except that if he does these things, jobs won't be correct, the pieces will come back and my husband will have to re-do them. These are jobs that take days to complete. (Like a house full of cabinets, bookshelves, trim, etc). Yesterday, he passed a job to my husband and the majority of the pieces were marked for the wrong color. My husband pointed it out to him and it took an arguement for the Supervisor to look at what he marked. He had done it wrong. The Shop Sup. has called a meeting with my husband, the owners, and himself today to discuss my husbands attitude. Help!
