I'm writing a thank you letter for a job interview I did yesterday and I'm not sure what to put as the subject. "Thank you"... just doesn't sound right. Any ideas?

I might get hired at a deli and work there overnight. The pay starts at $10.01 an hour. I'm only 18 and the most I got paid at a job was $7.50. I've figured it out that I would get $1,601.06 a month before taxes. Is that good pay for someone my age?

i have cancer and got fired from my last place of employment due to missing work for surgeries. I had given them a doctors note for every absence. It just seems like when i was looking for employment before people were calling back but this time i have only received one call for an interview. I don't like to lie but i feel this is hurting me. I also don't want a prospective employer to think im lazy and haven't worked the past year.
Is there anyway that they could find out where my last place of employment was if i dont tell them ?

I currently work in retail but am looking for a new job. A couple of years ago I chose to opt out of Sunday working, is this going to be an option wherever I work or is it up to the employer? I am looking for a full time job, but more like 35 hours a week, rather than the 42+ hours that I work now.

I am asking my question another way... my aunt is a dental assistant for an oral surgeon. she uses her bilingual skills to communicate the specific medical/dental care to these spanish speaking patients. she's been in the field for 13 years, but working for this her current employer for 3 or so years and hasn't been compensated for this. She is now up for her salary review and since she's proved how valuable this can be to him, she is asking for compensation adjustment for this interpreting service on top of her dental assisting skills. She lives in the Bay Area, CA and probably makes $17-18 and hour with benefits too. What type of a premium should she be making for her bilingual skills? She is trying to narrow down the $ amount or % she should be asking for.

Right after graduating college with a BA degree in Spanish, I got hired RIGHT on the spot & had an IMMEDIATE job opening for a job as an ESL teacher's assistant. But I heard they only get paid $14,000/yr. The day I was supposed to start work, I called in to quit the job right before I was supposed to come into work & moved from New Orleans, LA to NYC, NY, thinking I would have a better opportunity at increasing my Spanish fluency. In NYC, I found myself homeless & begging for food. I took the test to try to enter NYU's translating & interpreting program & failed it. But the reason why I turned down the job & moved was because of fear of losses & fear of another hurricane like Katrina. I'm now living in North Texas & am sad & depressed because I don't have a job. Many people tell me I shouldn't work because I'll lose my SSI & Social Security benefits & medical insurance & that I'll most likely not get them back. I feel like I went to college for nothing. I can't put my career to use.

I'm sick of getting the shi# end of the stick, and I've decided that I'm going to lie on my resume. I've seen too many idiotic people get a job that pays way better than what I'll ever make just because they have a college degree. I don't have a college degree YET, but I'm getting straight A's in school, and I have a lot of work experience. Does anyone in YA land have experience with lying on their resumes? Any stories about how you lied and got the job as a result? I really need some encouragement! I'm going to apply for a business analyst position and think I have all my bases covered. I've even made some fake transcripts with a seal of the college printed on them. I doctored the transcripts with my name by using real ones. I'm aware of the possibility that an employer will do a background check on my education qualifications, but they do that BEFORE they hire someone. So, I'm still employed; therefore, I have nothing to lose, right? Should I lie on my resume, or be more patient?

I had an interview a couple of days ago with three different managers, and they have called me to come for a second interview. However one of the managers has told me that a human resource manager will conduct the final interview, he had told me that this interview will sort of be a psychological interview. what is this interview? and what are my chances?

I am graduating from college this month and have been applying for jobs for the past month or so. My current location doesn't offer many job opportunities so the vast majority of jobs I have applied for are out of state. How do I convince employers in my cover letter to hire an out-of-state and entry-level candidate? I'm not expecting my relocation expenses to be paid.
