I answered an ad on craigslist.com for working from home. I paid a $10 training and materials fee, and recieved a training manual. Turns out you just turn around and do the same thing! I'm supposed to post an ad on craigslist, and those who respond pay the $10 fee to me!!! And I send the same info sent to me! Is this a scam? Is this ILLEGAL? I'm not a highly moral person, I could stand to make $10 off a couple of people, and I'm sure in turn they could stand to make some money off a few more people. But I don't want to commit fraud. Is this illegal? Does it work? DOes anyone else do it?? Thanks.

I'm only 14...I'm going into high school this fall
But the careers I want in the future require me to start studying now.

if I choose Fashion Design, I have to start taking fashion portfolio classes starting 9th grade, in my art classes

if I choose Singing ....I have to get vocal lessons and acting classes

all of these aren't really careers I can think about for 3 or 4 years...I have to choose now to start the basic training...

truthfully said, I want to sing....I really want to be in broadway someday........not like a pop singer or anything.....I just really want to be in broadway...but I know it's so hard...there's people out there who had vocal lessons all their lives, and if I start now I may not have a chance....

and fashion design...MOST TEENAGER GIRLS ARE HEADING TOWARD FASHION DESIGN...I really wanted to do it, until I became obsessed with singing....but I don't know...
I've been saying I wanted to be a fashion designer for over 5 years now...

Have been unemployed for almost a year. Was told overqualified by Mcdonald's. If you can believe that. Was told too old for a job working with children. I am at wits end now. I will be homeless soon if I don't find something.

I have an interview working for a Health Club as an Assistant Manager tomorrow. I need guidance because, my interviewing skills really suck and I get nervous. I know part of the interviewing process is to ask a lot of questions and to be asked a lot of questions.

Can anyone help me with what types of questions that I should ask and what types of questions will be asked of me.

I’ve never worked in a health club before.

I'm 25 years old, have a BA in Communications with two minors, Eagle Scout, and have been working since junior year in High School.

I was fired from my previous job three months ago (Wasn't my fault and I was awarded unemployment). Now I don't know what to do. I can't even get jobs that don't require a degree and experience. And when I actually do land an interview, I always manage to blow it. Temp agencies are no help, I sign up but they can't find me anything. I feel like I can't do what I want because there's always someone on the other side saying "You're too stupid for this job".

Anyways, I just need some advice on what to do.

(BTW...I don't qualify for the military)

Last year I brought home alot more money to pay the bills than this year and I will be working more hours this year. How do I convince my job to switch me back to hourly (which I will get overtime) instead of salary? They said they have to do the same for all yet the boss has a brand new car and just bought 2 horses so I know they can afford it...My boyfriend says to give them an ultimatum and say either pay me more or I will have to find another job, yet I do not want to be biting my tounge because I really need this job...

In todays world is Master's degree a lot more important than it used to be. It seem like bachelor degree has no value.
What do you think

I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish, & I'm not fluent enough. No one wants to hire me. These are the only jobs available in my town, & I don't have a car.

Also, should I complain about my co-worker who refused to do the work she was assigned and tried to get me to tell her not to do it? Should I confide to my boss what a lazy chick she is, even though I have been taking it lax too? Even though I have been doing what I was assigned.

Iam a maint tech. I have 1 groundsman/maint tech. My manager likes him because he "sucks up" and they hang out and drink together. I try to make a difference for my fellow tenants. I just got a second job....this makes 2 full time jobs. I don't mind the hours; it's the abuse of the latter job. Iam burned out and don't want to be threatened about...."if you quit-you will will have to leave the property within 7 days"! My second job pays slightly lesser, but there is growth potential.....should I Quit or Pull my hair out?????

I will be graduating shortly from the Ohio State University with a degree in accounting. I plan on taking the Becker CPA review course and CPA exam after I graduate. I know there is a one year of accounting experience requirement but I don't have any accounting work experience though. My plan was to pass the exam first before trying to work just so I can focus on it much more. My question is that can I still sit for the CPA exam even though I do not have any accounting work experience yet? Then after I pass it, I can work and obtain my certificate and license. Hopefully, passing it will increase my chances of landing a job with the Big 4. Thanks :)

On most of my job interviews (after telling them I was in the Army) they asked me if I could handle stress. Are they kidding?. Were they trying to be sarcastic? Do a lot of people think the army is just running around the woods shooting a rifle?

Most of these jobs I got turned down for made me start thinking there are a lot of military haters out there.

to continue to do? She asked me for the "honest" truth. The honest truth is that I've been with my company for over 12 yrs and the job I'm performing now (for the past year) is something I'm not very happy doing. There are other jobs in the company, but we recently went through a major layoff.

I'm curious as to how you would have responded if your boss asked you this question. Mind you, I work for a very large "profit" organization.

I have been the assistant to my boss for over 5 ½ years now. Her and I are a team. We run HER desk. I am her only assistant and she is my only boss. Recently, business has been slow and the company had to lay off several employees. Luckily, I was able to keep my job but I not have to assist another woman (as her assistant was laid off). NO BIG DEAL TO ME. I am, however, experience a LOT of bitterness between my boss and this other woman. From the other woman losing her assistant to my boss having to share hers (me). This other lady has been making real snide remarks about my boss, etc. I really want to mention one of them to my boss. This other lady emailed me saying, “Seeing as your boss is on the internet, I’m assuming she’s not very busy so I have lots for you to do today and tomorrow. It really URKES me that she’s acting this way! There’s really nothing I can do. I don’t want to complain because I just might be laid off for some off the wall reason!
