I'm only 14...I'm going into high school this fall
But the careers I want in the future require me to start studying now.

if I choose Fashion Design, I have to start taking fashion portfolio classes starting 9th grade, in my art classes

if I choose Singing ....I have to get vocal lessons and acting classes

all of these aren't really careers I can think about for 3 or 4 years...I have to choose now to start the basic training...

truthfully said, I want to sing....I really want to be in broadway someday........not like a pop singer or anything.....I just really want to be in broadway...but I know it's so hard...there's people out there who had vocal lessons all their lives, and if I start now I may not have a chance....

and fashion design...MOST TEENAGER GIRLS ARE HEADING TOWARD FASHION DESIGN...I really wanted to do it, until I became obsessed with singing....but I don't know...
I've been saying I wanted to be a fashion designer for over 5 years now...

and also ...fashion design has a lot of competition too....I've been taking art lessons all my life.....but so many people are better than me.
both of them have so much competition..
I really want to sing....
but is it too late....to take voice lessons at my age.....I mean I've been taking art classes since pre-k.......at least in art, I had some kind of education....

but I have been in chorus for 4 years, and one of them was an advance choir and I was also part of an honors choir....
I just don't have a lot of confidence or volume.........is 3 or 4 years of singing lessons gonna help me get into a decent performing arts college...?..........
I just really want to sing....I know I'm better at art than singing...but I like singing so much better.....should I still go with the art route?

right now prepare for both.
take the fashion design and get vocal lessons and acting classes, even if you have to take private lessons. start singing in talent shows and start designing fashions for plays and stage shows (combining them somewhat) - ie design your own costumes for singing - start acting in school plays and local theatres and see if you can get parts/roles. start making clothes for stage. That's what i suggest.
do both right now. you can choose later.

You don't have to start taking fashion classes in 9th grade. Plenty of colleges will take you without a specialized art or fashion background.

It's more urgent to start training your voice, and if that's your #1 passion it would be dangerous to your mental health to ignore it. Even if you never earn a dime at it, proficiency in singing can enrich your life immensely, and there are always opportunities to sing.

Also, if singing really is your passion then why the fixation on Broadway? Are you desperate to dance and act also? If not, then Broadway wouldn't be that fulfilling for you. If it's the intense performance experience you want, then vocal concerts are just as intense as Broadway musicals. If it's the spectacle you want, then opera has as much spectacle and drama as musicals.

A suggestion to get some of both worlds is to forget fashion design and concentrate on costume design. If you have good grades and show some interest in any aspect of theatre or opera, plenty of colleges will accept you in costume design, which is a specialty within a theatre major.

do both and make sure you take a ton of computer classes so you always have a fantansitc back up back up. the world changes fast and it is very important to have computer skills and a second language like spanish. more people in this world know spanish as a second language. like you could be speaking to a german in spanish becouse they are speaking spanish too. even countries like pakistan, india, china they learn spanish.
