Like I said, I like history. What kinds of careers are open in that field?

"Those who don't understand History, are doomed to repeat it."
Conversely, it can be assumed that, those who understand history, can change it.
In other words, don't limit yourself to simply propagating the species of future historians. The skills you acquire by appreciating history are much broader and useful than that.
You can do any number of things that require a cognizant world view. Government, Politics, International Business, Writer, Naturalist....really, whatever suits you.

You could work at a museum or maybe teach others what you love.
