I started my first job, at a drive-in restaurant, at age 13. I had to get a work permit from my school's principal.

I think that in most cases, if you're in the age range 13-15, you have to get a work permit. Also, if you're that young, your work hours may be bound my curfew laws.

Technically your first job is to be a responsible student and a participating memebr of your family!

Labor Laws require work permits for children under 18.

I think I started pet sitting at 10 and babysitting at 11, housekeeping for the elderly at 15.

FYI Employers only have to pay 80% wages to minors, so stay in school and if you want to help out stay close to home!

It depends on the job. Delivering the town's Newspaper 10 years old, babysitting 12 years old, fast food restaurants 15 years old
other jobs some are 16 years old and some are 18 years old.

i got my first job at 16 but the job i was at also hired someone at 15, and chik-fil-a and reasors started hiring at 14 where i live
