abd they ask if i am under 18 if i could show a work permit how would i get a work permit? i thought only Immigrants had to get one and i am not a immgrant

is ther anyway to get a work permit besides one from a counselor because I start school in 2 weeks

Minors need a work permit as well. And yes, you can get it through your high school. If that doesn't work for whatever reason, try searching the internet for "[your state] minor work permit"

you are using a computer. Why don't you go to Google and type WORK PERMIT and the name of your state. It will tell you all about the permits and the appication process. If you are underage, getting your parent to sign off on a work permit is the only way to work. There will be restrictions on how long you can work on school days, etc.

Just go to your high school, go into the main office and ask for a work permit. There's always people/secretaries in there during the summer.
