My credit score is 651...I have been looking for a substantial job in an office, a school, a law firm, a hospital, clerical work...however I have had no luck...a lot of dead end interviews...than I noticed my poor credit score could potential employers be checking my credit score before they check me out?
Is there a solution?

Employers can check yoru credit as part of a background check; however, most of them don't do that unless you'll be working in an area where you would have fiduciary responsibility - finance, accounting, that sort of thing. The theory is that if you haven't managed your own finances well, you might not manage the company's well, either.

I don't think this is your problem - you may want to ask the people you're interviewing for some feedback on where you didn't meet the position requirements.

It couldn't happen here in UK. An employer has no right and no means with which to access a person's credit score. Your credit score has no relevance to your ability to do a particular job. Are you punctual for your interviews - many employers are strict on timekeeping and an interview serves as the employer's first impression of you.

Not unless you have given them permission to check your credit. A 651 FICO score is actually pretty average and shouldn't keep you from getting a job.

no one checks you credit for a job. and your score is good.
