I had a job in journalism for 2 years, taught English in Asia for 5 and now want to try my hand at public relations. How can I create a resume that shows I have the experience needed for a media-related job if chronologically, my relevant experience is going to be all the way in the back? I'm not sure how to highlight that I do have experience writing and editing without leaving a large gap in my resume.

I'd emphasize your experience first [understanding the culture of whatever country you spent the last 5 years] and not just say "taught English".

Use that to show your 'public relations' experience for that type of customer.

specially...employers in many circumstances basically prefer the final ten years of employment, explaining any gaps. in the event that they like greater counsel than that, they're going to ask for it on the appliance. so a techniques as your resume, be sure to contain the subbing. once you do your resume, you may call the business enterprise, and then provide some examples of the form of artwork you probably did. For subbing, i could contain any long term or specific assignments. wish that facilitates.

It's simple. Don't use a chronological type of resume, but a functional type of resume, or even a targeted version, because you can enhance first the relevant information.
