pizza delivery, tips are great and very flexible hours
I did pizza delivery in a college town once and I made $150 in tips almost every night. Sometimes more, but never less than $75.

The unions have been fighting your cause and Gordon Brown has given in, as reported in today's press. You are about to be a richer person. Under pressure from the unions Labour has agreed to extend the adult minimum wage to 21-year-olds. At the moment the full minimum wage of £5.52 applies only to workers aged 22 and over. Those aged between 18 and 21 (like you) get £4.60 and 16 to 18-year-olds get £3.40. Meanwhile, the price of everything is creeping up inexorably.

Chris, since you have experience in sales already I would recommend you try http://tbrandon.myld.net. (this is a brochure only the actual job is getting out and talking with people). Failing that I think the person who told you to try to get a job in the field you eventually want to work in was on the right track.

Get a job in the field that you eventually want to work in. So if you want to be a lawyer, see if you can get a junior clerks job in a law office. That will go far when it comes time to get the job after college because you will have experience in the right field.

since you don't want no minimum wage crap, the best thing for you is to go ask your parents for money.
