I'm not feeling well, and I'm afraid to ask my boss to go home, because I have a feeling she will make me stay and do more work. I can't even concentrate because of how I'm feeling.

I'm just curious because I've been applying and haven't gotten a single response. I've changed my resume, applied for jobs beneath my skill level & experience; in short I've done everything to try to get a response but got none.

I received an email stating that this was from a job poster at Monster.com The email is as follows:
We are a company based in Europe. We receive orders from US and we need a representative to process the payments due to the delays in clearing checks in Europe.
-Flexible program: two hours/day at your choice, daytime and evening time

-Work at home: checking e-mail and going to the bank

-Part time or full time

-Professional contact team with very good support and communication skills

-Other highlights: no selling involved, no kit to buy, we won't charge you anything

-Monthly salary: $1,000 per month

-Commission: 10% of every check that clears, instantly cash in hand.

Just wanted to know if anyone has heard of this company and if they are legit. Thanks!

I know I'll need to dress professionally and bring a resume--I suppose I should bring several copies right?

I'm an accounting major. What can I talk about that will be impressive? Career goals?

So should I talk alot about myself or ask more questions?

What specific questions should I ask?

What else do I need to do to?

I did an interview last Thursday and had to sign papers to get a criminal background check done (I already know this will be clean anyway so no worries there). Someone I know had their interview the same day as me and already got their call yesterday to come in for another interview this Thursday. I called this morning and they are still waiting on my background check and one of my references.
I already know they haven't phoned my second reference, I don't know why not...my reference told me this morning that she'd tell me if/when they'd phone and they haven't yet.

What factors make a background check slower than another if they're handed in the same day (we both had our interviews Thursday afternoon)?

I am a guy and unsure if good looks work for men like they work for women. What type of high-paying jobs require a great appearance - not acting, modeling. etc. This is a serious question.

At work I am constaly being called someone elses name. I work in a place that over 80 employees but only three of us are African-American. What is fustrating about this situation is that I am constantly being called the other black womens names. We all are differnet people, and do not look alike nor do or names sound alike but we are constaly mistaken for one another. I do not know how the other women feel but this is a real problem for me (after trying to let it go before). Many of my co-workers will try to correct themselves as to why the called me so and so, only to stick their foot in their mouths. It is important to get the name right b/c their is legal documentation involved and we have been mixed up so much it has created a real problem that falls back on the (3) of us to fix it. Not to mention one of the ladies is not well liked and I frequently get in to trouble on her behalf alot. How can I address this problem and get white co workers to get the names right?

I've been looking for a new job lately and I've come across some seemingly run of the mill clerical work, but under the job requirements it says that I'll have to have my credit checked. What does my personal credit have to do with me working?

Ok. On August 6th, I was terminated simply for taking my girlfriend to the emergency room, who had an anemic attack and ended up in the hospital for 8 days, I nearly lost my mind. She's back to normal now though. I gave the job 12 hours notice ahead of time that I wouldn't come in.

On August 9th, we went there to collect my paycheck, the boss withheld it because he wanted to speak to me in his office. However, there was nothing to speak about because he said all he had to say during our prior conversation about being terminated, so I refused to speak with him and he said he will mail the paycheck.

It's now August 28th, I haven't received anything. And I don't wanna call him because I hate his guts and I don't wanna speak to him, firing me for a stupid reason is not the only crazy thing he's done to me, he's been talking about me in disrespectful ways behind my back ever since I started there. I called H.R. and they said they will contact him. What would you do in this situation?

Some companies don't care where workers are as long as they get the job done. Imagine a work world with no commute, no corporate headquarters and perhaps not even an office in the physical world at all.

▼ I would love it, I get more done because of the lack of interruptions, and constant telemarketer phone calls. I know my boss wouldn't go for it, but I could see it happening in the near future, but just how hard will most employees work? ▼

What does it mean to be in the field of costomer service? or a regional staff member? I wondered if cashier and bagging fell under costomer service. If you have any suggestions for good places to work, stores not cities/states/countries, I'd be happy to hear of some, as long as you didn't have to go through college to get them.

A career that involves math. I know I'm only 13 but I want to get an idea of what I want to do. I'm smart, and am in honors math and like doing it. I also like psychology, but I know those two don't really go together. If they could go together, could you tell me what career involves both? Thanks.

I hate the working environment of me job I started last week, there is swearing and other things I do not like. I am too scared to confront my manager to quit since he might make a big show out of it. I work tomorrow, Friday and Saturday, then all next week off, then back to work Saturday and Sunday. If I mail him a letter before I go to work Friday, he should get the letter by Tuesday, saying I quit effective immediately. Then he has 5 days to find a replacement for my shifts that weekend. That work?
