I'm looking to see which job would be easier to have a family with. RT would be an associates degree and Nursing would be a BSN as far as school goes. Is the salary about the same? Which is less stressful?

My current employer has falsely accused me of using my cell phone while working twice already even though I keep my phone in the break room and turned off when I am at work. The only time I turn my phone on is when I am on my break and I stay in the break room or go into the hall where we drop of dirty laundry (where none of the residents go or can even see me). My aunt thinks they're getting ready to fire me. I really don't like my job (I just don't like what I have to do for my job) and often dread going into work. What do I say and what do I do in order to get a new job somewhere else? Any help would be appreciated.

Help! I need a better job. I am a waitress right now, and it isn't cutting it. I am trying to move out so I need a little more money than the 300 dollars a week that I make. I am graduating in the spring of 08 with my associates in general studies and I am interested in anything to do with health care and nursing.

I have been trying to decide if it would make sense for me to finish my degree or not. Help!!

The facts: I am 27, I am a sales manager at a large company, I have a year left of full time credits to complete in order to attain my bachelors degree (I do have an associates). I have been employed by this company for 7 years and have been promoted 5 times all while attending night school. I want to change industries at some point, and even though I have a good resume based on work experience, I do not have the bachelors.

My question is how important is that word on a resume at this point in my career? Is it worth adding to my school loans, adding stress to my life, etc... Or should I be confident in my real world experience? All input is appreciated!!!

I'm currently attending community college and don't have a major. I like the health field, because I don't want an office job doing the same thing every day. I like the human body, it interests me. But I don't want to go to medical school, that's too much school.

I need to pick a major now and really try nd find a career that interests me. Anyone have any ideas for me?

I already have most of my basics for Rn but I am considering RT. I don't know how long schooling for RT is and I've already got most classes taken care of for RN. Does anyone know if the class requirements are pretty much the same or different?

I know they have a badge that tracks how much they have been exposed to, but what other percautions make the profession safe? Are you still exposed to more that the average person even with the precautions? I know next to nothing, so start at the bottom.

Also, can you work while pregnant? Could you harm your fetus if you work for a few weeks and don't realize you have a bun in the oven?

I am looking to become either an MRI Technician, or Ultrasound Technician.I have my AA(General Ed.) degree from my local community college in California, but my major was in "Business Administration". I also have no related job experience in this current field and I'm 25 yrs. old. I also like sports a lot, if that makes any difference.

1.) Do I need to go back to school for 2 more years and study Biology?

2.) How many years should it take before I can expect to be working as an actual MRI technician?

3.) Do I need a degree in Biology IN ADDITION to completing a program at an accredited institution, or is it just 2 years then I can become an MRI technician?

4.) What is the avg. starting salary? I know its around 40K or so, but is this what they start you at?

....Anything else you that you think I should know, please feel free to share.

Most work from home positions offered on-line have a one time membership fee, application fee, a fee for training materials or a shipping and handling fee. No matter what, there seems to be a way to get money out of a un-employed person. How could a person afford to risk any amount of money especially revealing their credit card/account to these companies, when they don't have a job to begin with?!!!

I just got a letter saying I'm an alternate in the RN program at my school. The school will not tell me my number on the alternate list but I know this:

The school takes the top 120 students out of about 500. The top 100 get into the program and the remaining 20 are alternates. So, I'm wondering, how many students do you think out of the 100 accepted into the program will choose (either by choice or circumstance) not to participate in the program? AKA....how many alternates do you think a school goes through on average?

Thanks for the info and your thoughts!

I've just accepted a position as an admissions coordinator for a Hospice Care company and was just wondering how difficult of a job it is. The pay/benefits package is fantastic but I'm concerned as to what exactly I'm getting myself into besides the obvious job description and day to day tasks I've been told about.
