If you get a job, your new company should provide medical insurance.
Talk to a local Church and ask if they can help your husband find a job. Maybe someone who goes to the church will be willing to give him a job if he has improved his life. They can also help you with presents for your kids.
I have donated to the Salvation Army for Christmas--they have something where we picked a paper with a name off of a Christmas tree at the mall and my daughter and I both picked one and bought something for the child on the paper.
There are other groups that collect toys for low income families. You can check with the local Fire Dept. They usually have a program going for that.
Take care and I hope you will have a happy and prosperous future. You are very lucky to have 5 kids, and to be together, so that is a good start.
