I already have most of my basics for Rn but I am considering RT. I don't know how long schooling for RT is and I've already got most classes taken care of for RN. Does anyone know if the class requirements are pretty much the same or different?

I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, as I am not 100% sure, but I do believe you can get either a 2 year or 4 year RT degree. The pre-reqs are very similar, but might not be exactly the same, it depends on the school. But to my knowledge, RNs have far better career prospects in terms of job advancement, variety of work settings, and job security, and have the potential to make more money in the long run.

Are you referring to radiologic technology or respiratory therapy?
