The thing is that to become a nurse, you need to do monitored clinicals. Which certainly can't be done online. There are nursing BSN programs and MSN programs online, but i'd venture to say that all of them require you to hold a valid RN lisence before beginning them. This is not to sat that there aren't schools that have certain aspects of the program as online classes, but again, you will need to do your clinicals and practical classes in person under an instructor of whatever college you attend.

I do not know of any online Nursing programs for people who are not already nurses. Several Universities in Florida have 'bridge' programs for RNs who are seeking BSNs or MSNs/ARNPs that are online. The University of Central Florida and the University of South Florida both offer these bridge programs.
You don't say where in Florida you will be moving to; this state is huge, and so it would be helpful to know a general area.
Valencia Community College in Central Florida has an excellent ASN program; but there may be a waiting list. The nursing classes are not online, but some of the other core courses can be taken online.
Here are some of the Universities that offer BSN programs (you might be able to do some of the courses online)
Florida State University: Tallahassee
University of Florida: Gainseville
University of Florida, College of Nursing Jacksonville
University of South Florida: Tampa
University of Miami
University of Central Florida: Orlando

in Florida, many nursing programs are two years long and run by the community colleges. You'll want to check the one in the area you're moving to.
Like all such publicly funded programs, the reduced in-state tutition rate does not apply until after you've provably lived here for a year. Worse, one you start attending here, your status ["out of state"] usually locks and can not easily be changed.
Which suggests the following strategy:
take useful online classes where ever you can find them [anatomy, for example], AS LONG AS they are not from a public Florida university or community college until after you've lived here for a year.
THEN, you can enroll in nursing at a state supported community college or university and pay only the in state tuition [which is about the cheapest in the nation].

Btw, LPN courses in Florida are usually taught by the local vocational-tech schools, which are run by the county school boards as part of the public [K-12] schools. Some of them offer some of their intro courses online.
I do not know the residency/tuition/program requirements for the Vo-Tech schools, which may differ by county.
It is going to be 82 degrees here in the Miami area today. We do not shovel snow here ... ever.
There are lots of nursing jobs available and more expected every year. Plenty in allied health sciences, too.
C'Mon down !!

Excelsior and U of Phoenix are very diverse. the most important question is even in case your state will settle for the Excelsior application for an get proper of entry to point nurse. quite a few states do no longer. Excelsior boasts it has the purely permitted get proper of entry to point nursing application it extremely is permitted. that is meant for LPNs and Paramedics in spite of the reality that the Paramedics' participation contained in this technique must be wondered through all state BONs. This application grant no medical journey and many the Paramedics who do take care of to bypass change right into a humiliation no longer purely to nursing yet also to the Paramedic patch. U of Phoeniz is if you already carry an RN license. and ought to like a BSN.

You might be able to find a program with some of the early courses online, but much of nursing training is clinicals, where you actually work with patients, so you have to be onsite for that part.

You can only do the general education courses on line. The actual nursing program requires clinicals, labs, etc. that there is no way to do on a computer.
