am having difficulty finding a job in my proffession of x-ray tech. I have searched monster and career builder and some other places online. If anyone knows of any online job agencies that are online please let me know. I live in texas. I would be an entry level tech because I just graduated. Please send me links to online jobs that I can search or anything that relates to healthcare. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

I am a newly graduated nurse, in a new graduate nurse program, but the ward I am on is highly specialised, and I dont feel that I have the experience and knowledge to work in this ward. Ive not even had alot of nursing experience!
The hours are long, and its boring (compared to other wards). I am just so unhappy, and its spilling over into my personal life.
I just worry if I quit that it will affect my career, but if I stick it out (4 more months) Ill go insane, and end up on Prozac.

I have applied for another job in another hospital, so my thinking is, if I can get another job, then it should be ok, if Im honest about my reasons for leaving??

Thanks

I live in Houston. Any of the North area hospitals, even up to Conroe, would be fine. I want to get on as a unit secretary or receptionist. I've applied at every single one online or by fascimile. There are no numbers in which to reach anyone, or any contact names. I haven't heard anything back. Should I go to the hospital and apply in person???

How long are you required to keep medical documents before they can be destroyed. No X-rays... just paper documents, bills, charts, etc. Please give links to this info if you have it.

I am relocating to your beautiful state and am in need of a job almost immediately upon landing as I am a single mother. This is scary for me as I have lived in this bleak state of CT for my whole life. Anyway, I do Medical/Dental management and medical billing and collections. How quickly do you think I might find a job.

Do you think it is fair that some degrees aren't worth anything.
My situation:
I went to a private college and paid $26,000 to go there. I recieved a 2 year associates of science degree in medical asstisting. When I went out to work they were only paying around $8 to $10 dollars an hour. When I was in school I learned to do many things such as Phlebotomy, EKG, Catheters, Vitals, surgical procedures, admin, pharmacy tech, all sorts of things.......... I don't feel like it is fair. $ 8 dollars an hour is only a little more than min wage which is $6.40 an hour. So I am not in that field and I found another job working in an Engineering office making lots more money with benefits. But I guess the only thing I can be happy about is I wouldn't have got the job if I didn't have some sort of an degree. but now I'm stuck paying this money and not being put to use. Do you feel like certain fields are under paid? I feel like I was ripped off!!!!! 2 years of my life and LOTS of hard work for $1

Hello! I am 39 years old and trying to become a Radiologic Technician. What type of school should I go to? (I live in VA.)
The school that gives you AS told me that because I don't have any medical back ground, I have to go for Medical Assistance first, then after I work as a medical assistant for a while, go back to the school and take the RT program. That will take about 6 years! She said RT program will be too hard for me right now. She said her school is well known in town and the reputation is different. You will get a better job if you go to her school but this school is twice more expensive compare to the one at the hospital. The hospital based school which gives you a certificate said you can enter as a high-school graduate. I think normally if you go to hospital based school, they will hire you right away when you finish with the school. Please give me your advice. Thanks!
