FYI-I'm in my mid 30's no children & want to return to school For something kinda quick that I can make decent money doing in short period of time.
I also have a background issue
(Not convicted,Criminal Mischeif-But Felony Charge in 2000)
PLead no contest took probation-will this hinder me getting licensed? Some Fl schools have said yes I cant be licensed for Ulta sound because of it Even if Im not convicted.
How do I find out what I can now be licensed for?
I want a job doing something in Medical but I can't stomach blood or guts & I'm soso with needles,My Grandmother would like me to be a Nurse,Iwas thinking of a Psyche Nurse or Anesthesia Nurse
I wanted to know how long & how hard are schooling for those? I also was considering, COTA or PTA cause schooling is shorter for these
I'm moving to Charlotte, N.C. next week any advice or Info?

I got offered a full scholarship books,tuition,lab coat for a Nursing program at a Community College.

And I got accepted to a University that I want to attend however,
I have to take out Loans to pay for it..
I think taking the scholarship will allow me to earn an associates in nursing and I could use that and apply for a Degree Completion at the University???

If I take the scholarship I will nor have to worry about how I will pay for my tuition...

I have talk to a few Nurses and a Dr to get some advice and I have been told that a Full Scholarship is just about unheard of and to take it..

And I have been told to follow my heart and go to the University.

I do not want to depend on Loans to get me threw school.
I want advice from other students and Current Practitioners

i dont know if ill be good at it??? im taking biology honors and im really proud that i got recomended! but it takes alot of hard work and time...im willing to do it but how do i kno if ill be good at it? and if its the "right" thing for me????

Two years ago my uncle was hopitalized for a diebetic coma. He was in for a year. Now hes out and nearly in good health. He cant walk around to much. He needs a good desk job to support himself and the massive bills hes racked up. Do you know of any jobs? He lives in chandler Arizona.

I am going for my Bachelor's in Psychology and a minor in either communication or sociology, I also plan on taking some biology courses. I want to be a Medical Social Worker with emphasis on neonatal care(preferably preemies because I am one and have a lot of passion for the care of them). There aren't that many schools offering social work master degree programs around me, what are my options, also can anyone tell me what a Medical Social Worker deals with? I'm looking either at being a social worker or counselor, any info or relevant experience in either field would be nice to hear from! Thank you!!!

I didn't start any school yet...so kind of fresh out of high school, I got accepted into this private college in San Diego, CA for RN, (again, no prior college exp.) and found out that the classes are non-transferable. would that mean that if I were to go after my BSN afterwards somewhere else (non private hopefully due to expense), I would have to take all the gen. ed again? OR...since I have my ADN already, I can just apply at any RN-BSN program?..I know this may be a really dumb question but I need some help fast! any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Please tell me all about what you as a massage therapist had to endure for your verbal interview and practical test! What kinds of questions did they ask you? What are the main things they're looking for in the practical? What are some definate no-no's? Any advice at all is appreciated!

Recently, I was denied a medical job in Sacramento. When I called for an interview by the doctor's assistant, my location(which is an hour drive) was apparently not an issue. HOWEVER, during the group interview with the actual doctor, my location seemed to be a major issue. I was highly questioned on where I lived and if I was planning on moving, because she thought the drive was too far. And that was basically the end of the interview for me. I feel that it if my location was such a big issue, that I should have never been called for an interview and a lot of time was wasted. Can I go to the better business bureau about this or should I just forget it?

I just started working for an Orthopedic Medical Billing Company. I have no experiance, but I have been doing billing for the past 8years in the radiology field. I have been off sick from my job for 4 months and it does not seem likely thay I will be returning to work in the near future. I am very conciouse that this is inconvenient to my employer but I am worried that insurances I have will be invalid if I just retire from my job. I am 63 years old.
