someone told me if i went to a community college i wouldnt need to take the SATs to start studying to be an rn but other people told me different.. i havent taken the SATs & was wondering if theres any way around that so i didnt have to taken them? thanks a bunch !!

When I started at community college, I hadn't taken the SATs. I did have to take some placement tests so that they could recommend courses that I should start out with. When I enrolled in their nursing program I had to take what I believe was called a "HESI" test which I believe is just a way to see who the better candidates for the nursing program are... but I could be wrong. But each college is different so check out their website and talk to their admissions staff. Good luck!

I took the ACT's a long time ago, but never the SAT's I didn't have a problem.. I transferred from a 4 yr. college though.. You might have to take a compass test or some type of aptitude test for placement... Try calling the college and speaking with a counselor... good luck
