I need advice! For the ones who are working as a radiologic Technicians, MRI Technicians or Sonograper, please tell me which job you think is the best. I am really interested in those career fields. In the states I live in, you can go straight to the sonographer program but you have to go to Radiologic Technician program first to become a MRI Technician. I think to go to Radiologic Technician program gives you more opportunies in the future. Is money better than how much Sonographers make? Is it hard on your body to do the MRI technician job? How hard is the program? Please help me. Thanks!

I'm really interested into going into Medicine after I graduate high school; however, I cannot stand the sight of blood and I really don't think I'd be able to perform any sort of surgery. Are there any medical professions in which I would not be required to deal with blood, etc? If there are, how long would it take to become whatever the profession is? Thank you for your help :)

I have just graduated from a nursing assistant program ( care aide) while i was in school my moms cancer spread and i took a leave of absence to be w/her.

I was able to set up there home so she could pass away amongst family/friends, including pain manage, med's, oxygen, etc, for approx 3 months,

Just so happens 10 months later, graduated, a position with a cancer agency is available, would it be totally wrong to include that experience along with the skills etc. i assisted with in my cover letter ?

I'm thirty nine years old and very introverted (let's say practically anitsocial!) and work in Civil Service (N.Y. City municipal agency) as a Supervisor in the Records Management Unit. While it is back office and I only have to manage a staff of three, it is boring, tedious, and mindless work spent doing repetitive data entry, information research, answering telephone questions of employees about their personnel files; and living in one of the boroughs of N.Y.C. the salary sucks - $45,000.00 I couldn't even afford a studio apartment on that if I wasn't married! I can be charming and friendly if forced to, am fairly intelligent, very well spoken, and have been told by numerous people that I "write very well." Since receiving my Bachelor's Degree in 1991 I've not enrolled in any sort of academic program. I desperately need a career chage but am hampered by my solitary nature and fear of socializing. I also need to earn about $65K to feel financially secure. Advice?

Hi, I'm starting to get my pre-req's done for nursing school. I've been looking at different programs and was wanting to know what degree I should aim for and if there was a difference between having an Associate's or a Bachelor's.
I was wondering if you had better/different types of jobs, better salaries, more oppurtunities etc with having a bachelors rather than an associates.

Thank you all so much.

I have worked for the same company that I do now that I've become an RN. My question is if after I gave my company proof that I had my RN license, are they supposed to immeadiatly accept that and start giving me the RN pay? (If this is confusing, what has happened is that they continue to put me on the schedule as an LVN and give me LVN pay). They are the ones who wanted me to con't working for them as an RN...Please help, as I think they are taking advantage of me.

I want to get a certification or degree in the healthcare field... hopefully something that will require 2 years of school (associates degree) or less. Any recommendations what certification or degree you think I should get?

I love working directly with people, I have excellent communication skills, but I CANNOT handle a field where death happens a lot, and I also can't do anything in a dental office. Any help would be appreciated.
