There can be big differences in all types of coverage. You need to ask just what you get, what is covered, and how much it costs you. Also think about dental and eye coverage too. Some medical coverage will cover you if you have cancer and you stay in the hospital for a bunch of days and cover nothing else. It's almost useless. There are also lifetime caps, annual deductables you have to pay before coverage kicks in [can be a little or a lot), prescription coverage and on and on. Ask lots of questions.

There are lots of different kinds of health care plans, with lots of different options. And different companies expect different levels of participation in the costs by employees.

well, that is really up to what the company constructs the medical plan with that health care company...
