I got offered a full scholarship books, tuition, lab coat for a Nursing program at a Community College.

And I got accepted to a University that I want to attend however,
I have to take out Loans to pay for it..
I think taking the scholarship will allow me to earn an associates in nursing and I could use that and apply for a Degree Completion at the University???

If I take the scholarship I will nor have to worry about how I will pay for my tuition...

I have talk to a few Nurses and a Dr to get some advice and I have been told that a Full Scholarship is just about unheard of and to take it..

And I have been told to follow my heart and go to the University.

I do not want to depend on Loans to get me threw school.
I want advice from other students and Current Practitioners

grab the scholarship and get your RN at community college.

Then get a job as an RN in the industry. Some states permit this without having a B.N. [bachelor of nursing] degree -- my sister worked in Florida, Georgia, and Illinois with just a community college RN.

If you choose your employer wisely after your get your RN, you'll find that they'll pay for your BN or even MN after that.

:-)

For nurses, this is fairly important since there are few employers who give steady raises over many years and thus your income tends to plateau [cease rising faster than inflation] within five years of degree completion.

After that, getting a raise usually means more school [NP] or some means of becoming a supervisor or trainer of other nurses [MN, etc.]

You have a scholarship!! A free ride for an associates degree into college! Why would you pay for something that can be offered for free? You can complete the rest of your studies at the university and be in less of debt. And for the first 2 years the university and the college that offered you a scholarship will teach the same exact things anyways.

I would take the scholarship.

Many hospitals will pay for you to go on with your education.

I would call you crazy to go to the university right now!!!!!!
