Work in a pharmacy, as a technician, preferrably in a hospital. It will REALLY help you out when you get into nursing school. You'll already be a step ahead of everyone else.

Try to train for some kind of medical assisting...like say phlebotomy...if you can find a job in the medical field while in school they're going to be more flexible on giving you time off for studying...they'll also give you some experience and be very helpful and supportive of your career goals.
