I am relocating to your beautiful state and am in need of a job almost immediately upon landing as I am a single mother. This is scary for me as I have lived in this bleak state of CT for my whole life. Anyway, I do Medical/Dental management and medical billing and collections. How quickly do you think I might find a job.

you'll find that the "Help Wanted" section of many Florida newspapers is available online for free.

Of course, since the state is fairly large (by comparison) you'll need to narrow your search.

I do live in Florida and suggest that the cost of living here in relation to job income is worst in all of the coastal southern portions ... both the east and west coasts.

That leaves the central, NE [Jacksonville] and western panhandle areas.

My guess is that hurricane risk is much higher in either the NE or panhandle areas than the central part of the state, so I'd recommend you look in the middle rather than elsewhere.

Btw, all of southern Florida currently has a water shortage. This isn't expected to change any time soon, if ever.

Thanks for coming to FL! You should be able to find a job pretty quick. I live in a semi-large city in FL (would rather not say where as I don't want whackos tracking me down,) and we have an awesome economy. I don't know how this is compared to other cities. Rural areas like Ocala/Lake City area where all the fires are right now don't have real good job markets, but if you are going to Pensacola, Tampa/St. Pete, Miami, Orlando, etc. you will be fine. Good luck!!

I don't live in Florida, but my entire family does. My dad said that you can find a job really quickly living there. He got offered 3 jobs before he even moved down there. My suggestion is to apply for some jobs before you move, so you can get one even more quickly.
