es of being an rn. i also have a friend who used to be a rn and cannot get a job at hospitals due to her being on disability for bipolar, any help would be appriciated.

go for it anyway...after all..a janitor is totally diferent then a nurse!

1. Your job history shouldn't matter when it comes to getting admitted to nursing school. And once you're a nurse, your potential employer isn't going to pay much mind to what happened 4 years ago in a totally different job. They can't even find out WHY you were fired, that's considered private information.

2. Your friend is on disability, so she should not be working anyway. That's considered fraud to work and collect disability.
